« Back Pedro Aguirre founded the company in 1960 and currently serves as CEO. To this day, he continues his very hands-on role so that every project and every team reflects his ideals. It started when he was a young boy he worked side-by-side with his father installing roofs and painting houses. From the Texas rooftops, Pedro always knew he would be an architect so he set his sights on Texas A&M University where he graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Architecture in 1956. Building has always been a calling for Pedro that didn’t stop at structures. He works just as hard at giving back to the community that has supported him, his family and AGUIRRE RODEN for the past 5 decades. He has held many positions in civic and private sector groups including appointments during the administrations of President Nixon and Texas Governor Ann Richards. Pedro was elected a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects in 1989. In 1976, Mr. Aguirre was appointed to the U.S. Delegation of the 4th Inter-American Congress on Housing in Lima, Peru. He toured several South American countries as an American Specialist under the Fullbright Program. Just a few of the many ways Pedro has been an active member of the Architecture community.
« Back Gary Roden joined Aguirre in 1996. His decades of project management, engineering, and construction experience complement Pedro’s architecture expertise to create a powerful leadership team. Gary oversees all design, program management, and construction operations within the company. He skillfully leads projects from conception, through owner and municipal approval processes, through production of final design documents, and finally through the construction phase. His expertise includes the design and installation of facility management controls and large commercial HVAC systems. Gary has served on the Associated Builders and Contractors Association on the local and national level for over 20 years. He served 7 years on the National Executive Board and was National Chairman in 2005. Gary also served on the Board of Trustees for the National Center of Construction Education and Research. Gary received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and ongoing upper level graduate courses at the University of North Texas.
« Back As a Senior Vice President, Frost’s responsibilities encompass management of engineering operations and leader of the Corporate Total Quality Management Program. In his 18 years with the company, he has focused on designs that reduce energy consumption; energy conservation considerations and thermal storage; contract documents, specifications and cost estimates; as well as contract and construction administration. Frost’s background includes project management assignments for large multi-discipline projects and a wide range of project types in the public, education, healthcare, and criminal justice sectors. His expertise includes both refrigeration and air conditioning system design. Frost graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and from the University of Dallas with a Masters of Business Administration.
John directs the firm’s professional architectural and planning services in the Austin Office in addition to his general roles in executive management. With over 40 years in architecture, engineering related and construction management services, he integrates a project’s needed services with the client’s requests. He is certified in Homeland Security and in Texas Accessibility Standards. John graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Architecture and has continued his education with post-graduate work with studies at the Graduate School of Business Management, University of Dallas and at the School of Engineering, the University of Texas at Austin.
« Back Robyne is responsible for financial operations and corporate governance. In addition, she is in charge of the management of all aspects of corporate administration including Facilities, Human Resources, Construction Administration, General Administration and Information Technology. Robyne has worked with business unit leadership to reorganize financial operations into a structure that enables finance and operations to work closely together and allow the business units to focus more on their core business. Robyne is a passionate leader having been by our side for over ten years. Robyne holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas.
« Back As the strong and capable leader for the Dallas Architecture operations, David oversees a staff of architects, architectural interns, interior designers and construction administrators. He is also responsible for the sector’s operational and financial performance. His 30 years of experience in a variety of project types include 18 years of experience in design/build projects and the identification of construction alternatives, value engineering, estimating and scheduling, bid documents, construction administration, project close out and warranty administration. David’s most valuable asset is his understanding of the integration of architecture, engineering and construction and the design/build project approach. He holds a Master of Architecture degree from University California Los Angeles, a Bachelor of Architecture from Southern California Institute of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.
« Back Joe’s responsibilities include: client relations, subcontractor relations, bidding projects, creating budgets, purchasing of materials, scheduling, cost control, invoices, billings and all other related phases of project management. With over 35 years in the construction industry, he has hands-on experience with all phases of the construction industry. His experience includes; working closely with the clients and architects on design-build projects, hands on commercial construction, negotiating contracts with clients and subcontractors. Joe’s project experience spans telecommunication facilities, commercial buildings, and restaurant, construction. He believes in producing a quality product, and works closely with the owner, superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors on every job to ensure its success.
« Back In addition to Peter’s responsibilities in Program Development, he also directs customer service, quality assurance and community affairs activities. With over 18 years of Facilities Management, Asset Management, Programming, and Strategic Planning experience, he understands the demands of a diverse range of project and client types. His Program Development and Asset Management expertise has been utilized by organizations such as Dell Computer, EssilorUSA, Motorola, TXU Services, Texas Instruments, and Baylor Healthcare. Peter holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Southern Methodist University.
« Back Kathleen is responsible for leading projects to completion on schedule and within budget. She has over 30 years of experience in a variety of project types. Kathleen is an excellent communicator and consistently creates strong extended project teams with client representatives, consultants, contractors and vendors. Kathleen holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of Arkansas.
« Back Steven is the leader of our Program Managerment sector. He has over 20 years of experience in the program management, owner’s representation and construction industries. His background includes: K-12, higher education, light rail, heavy highway, commercial, and residential projects – all utilizing various project delivery methods, including construction/program & project management, construction management at risk, construction management – agency, tenant representation and general contracting. Steven is an engineer officer in the Texas Army National Guard with 20 years of service. Previous assignments include 36th Infantry Division Ops Officer, Engineer Battalion Commander; Chief, Facilities Engineer Branch for the State’s Training Center Command; Engineer Company Commander and Platoon Leader, and various positions as an Engineer Battalion and Brigade Staff Officer. His current assignment is the S-3 (Operations and Plans) in the 61st Engineer Brigade located in Dallas.
« Back Lead Structural Engineer & Assistant Director of Engineering Jason Stabenow’s presence at AGUIRRE RODEN ensures a solid future for the engineering team. He brings a unique combination of expertise in nuclear and structural engineering. His dynamic leadership and team building skills consistently motivate others toward success. Jason’s experience in a variety of structural design projects includes laboratory, advanced technology, industrial, parking structure and entertainment projects for public, private and government clients, such as the Department of Energy (DoE) and the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES). He has performed analysis and design of structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, pre-cast and post-tensioned structures. He has several years of experience in operating reactor plants and nuclear-capable ballistic weapons. Jason served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy. His assignment as an Assisted Weapons Officer and Diving Officer on a Nuclear Submarine included numerous citations including: awarded the Navy Achievement Medal for leading successful major strategic missile movements; led missile re-targeting team to a designation of “Best in Atlantic Fleet” by the Commander of the Submarine Atlantic Fleet Inspection Team; and was hand selected as the only junior officer to attend Strategic Weapon’s Officer School. Jason graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and holds a Master of Science (equivalent) in Nuclear Engineering from the Naval Nuclear Power School.
« Back Gary is responsible for the detailed design review and cost analysis on various types of projects. Working in estimating and project management for some of the largest general contractors in the nation as well as a foundation in design has allowed him to develop the keen ability to examine issues from the point of view of a general contractor as well as the owner, architect and subcontractors. With over 25 years of experience, his skills in communication, project coordination and accurate budgeting, scheduling and estimating have resulted in a history of projects successfully completed on time and under budget. Gary attended Tarrant County Junior College, Architectural Engineering and is a member of the American Society of Professional Estimators.
